If she had to have a defib installed it's probably an electrical issue in the heart, not caused by myocardia. This sort of thing does happen, though it's rare.

Not impossible; going pretty far out on a limb IMO. An EKG (and a stress test) would've been used to make a diagnosis which led to the defib being implanted. It could have been falsified but cardiologists don't really have skin in the game. It'd require a huge conspiracy.
