Although they are promising the unvaxxed will get the same priveleges as the vaxxed come December, they are not to be believed. They have lied and lied and moved goal posts the entire year and a half.

First of all, their 90% vaccination figure for Sydney and 80% for Melbourne is dubious and could just be another lie in their string of noble lies.

I'm really looking forward to news and anecdotes from small businesses as they can give a true indication of this 90% vaccination rate. If businesses a month or two from now start complaining of 40-60% drop in business, that would be strong evidence of this 90% number being bullshit.

I hope our fellow Aussies are not this majorly stupid to be vaxxed massively. I await economic reports, which cannot be fudge by the central planners.

If the 90% figure is a lie to get the easily-social-pressured to get the vaxx ("ooh everybody is getting it, don't want to be the odd one out and will get vaxxed"), then more coercive measures are needed for the headstrong.

It's already on the front page how other countries are using withholding of salaries and banning from essentials stores like groceries to get the headstrong to comply.

i daresay once international flights are going again they will blame the unvaxxed for a worldwide surge in cases. they will then paint a narrative that the vaxxed have done the right thing, but unfortunately they are coming into contact with the unvaxxed, then spreading it all around the world. we should not all have to shutdown over a few who refuse to do what is good for the well-being of all, therefore we will have to construct ways to ensure the unvaxxed are limited from causing the spread. the choice therefore is simple: get vaxxed, or lose your rights to engage in society. that includes the supermarket. that may seem harsh, but there is still the option of online shopping, so no one will starve. we have to get tough if we are to save lives. those who do not comply will soon have little choice if they want to continue to be a part of our society.
