She drove for 3 hours to the border to support the truckies' blockade, instead she only found the authorities guarding the state border, who told her no truckies ever turned up.
For some reason she gave the military guys some of the food she was planning to give the truckies.
She blames the trademark laid-back optimism of Aussie culture ("don't worry, she'll be right mate") for people falling to stand up for their rights.
