Quite the contrary. Pretty much everyone I know supported their right to protest, or if they were on the fence they sympathised with their aims. Their mentality was "What's selfish about wanting to provide for your family or put food on the table?"

What are the fines and penalties for campaigning against an incumbent? You know, since they're a dictatorship now.
