So is wearing seatbelts

That seems like an odd change of subject.

Wearing seatbelts is mandatory as it saves lives. Wearing seatbelts is also common sense.

Seatbelts have tirelessly proven their effectiveness, decade after decade. Masks have never once been shown effective in a randomized clinical trial, which was the rule before Sars-2 madness: if it can't pass an RCT, it's too speculative to become policy. You cannot show mass masking works because the science has already demonstrated the opposite, in multiple RCTs.

Want some "common sense"? Government is not your fucking friend, they do not have your back, they are not concerned for your well-being, and they don't give back the powers they've taken.

The last time we tried mass masking, it was the Spanish Flu (neither Spanish nor Flu, real name: the Fort Riley Kansas experimental vaccine-derived meningitis.) It didn't work for shit, because masks cultivate bacteria and do nothing to stop viruses.

Not that you're interested in deepening your understanding.

Do you think that's to help people in the car or people in the insurance industry?
