Milton Friedman's "Free to Choose" is okay. The whole book is free market good, planned economy bad!
Just remember that economic theory is just that -- theory.
As for politics, Sun Tzu's "Art of War" and Machiavelli's "The Prince" are classics. They might not lend themselves well to an audiobook though.
