Well, welcome to Poal. About a year and a half ago Voat had some longer outages so one of the users, @PMYB2, made this site as an alternative. Downvotes don't do as much here, and it's our culture to only use them sparingly as a flag for spam or suspiciously low effort content rather than to indicate disagreement or dislike.
