Are we legitimately reacting to something that's a media craze right now or is the rabid contempt for these pop media puppets being pushed on us from somewhere?

This doesn't feel totally organic to me.

I guess this doesn't make this a very good askpoal post since I've already drawn a conclusion. Sorry. But is anyone feeling the same way or anyone disagree?

The people foolishly desire a divisive character in their play, someone one side can love, and the other side will hate.

So the producers of the play give the people what they want: a minor character, of no consequence, who can be quibbled over by audience's idiots, the folks that can only think about one scene at at time, the people who can't see overarching plot of this tragic comedy.

That being said, it is important to remember that the play is never about the action happening on the stage.

If it were, people would perform plays all the time, without an audience.

The play is only ever about eliciting a response from the audience. They are the only people in the room that matter.

Basically what Theo said. People love to go after the low-hanging fruit so the media props up retards. Makes an easy target for "based magapede intellectuals" to lambast and feel like they owned da libs.

As far as I can tell, these people are distractions from the fact that huwhites are only ~8% of the global population and declining.

It keeps people content, like they defeated an enemy, while they are still being systematically erased.

And if it is the case that these people are being paraded out for based liberal pwnage with facts and logic purposes, I guess the next question would be how and why do they do it? Do the same astroturfing outfits who get people riled up about net neutrality or tell people 'there's nothing here, go to sleep' whenever there's a big classified documents leak ALSO flood imageboards, news aggregators and social media with AOC memes?

It's a crazy amount of effort to go to just to distract our attention, and yet I can't help but feel the punching-bag-of-the-week type cycles we go through are a little odd in the suddenness of their onset and their intensity.

edit: I mean, for a more normal reaction to a high-profile lunatic douchebag, look at the saga of Shia Lebeouff. He had to get in a fight with someone at his own public activism display that ironically was supposed to preach unity and then also stage an elaborate worldwide capture-the-flag-type game to get the internet's attention. And this little girl just has to cry in front of a panel of globalists and the internet is all over her?

I refuse to upvote any of them. In fact I refuse to give a single one of these posts any attention at all.

I can't tell if the problem is:

1) The same as previous declines of other sites caused by migrations from sites on the downward slide

2) Paid shills like the JIDF creating accounts/posts in mass and simply upvoting each other to alter the narrative.

3) Both of those things (they may be the same thing happening described in two perspectives).

I mean I can see who's Greta posting here and I know most of these posters are not shills. But I think the frenzy to meme this person could have been introduced through other channels and seeped in.

I would think more mainstream places like 4chan or T_D or twitter could be more easily shilled and would most likely be the source for memes that get reposted here and Voat. Once a phenomenon emerges, right wing media catches on and sees an opportunity for clicks and views. Then organic memeing would follow.

The point isn't to direct the message of such memes, but to choose the target. Since the internet can be harshly critical when a mob forms, it has potential to get to a point where normals would be put off by the reaction. After all, this is just a retarded little girl.

There is all kinds of shilling going on. You think that they wouldn't care since voat is not a public website anymore (or is offline) and poal has a small user base. I guess they just want to control everything.
