I noticed something similar when I was searching for an article about George Soros. I was reading in blog pages that kept referencing the same article from Japan times, but I could not find that article anywhere.
Still it is concerning if this is happening. Saving an offline page doesn't address the overall problem of restricted information.
Yeah, I’m aware but I don’t own a computer, and my POS phone is low on storage. For awhile I had been going to a couple archive sites just to back up debate points with decent linked info, but those days are rapidly coming to an end.

HAve you looked into a flash drive to store your downloaded stuff, that you want to keep but don't have a lot of room for. You can get a 64-GB drive for under $20. Some come with USB C, if your phone has that you're set. Otherwise you'd need a USB micro adapter, a bigger pain to use.

The thing about archives is that they give an impression (false or not) of legitimacy. A locally saved page could be easily tampered with.

Try using the open source program, for archiving links to these webpages and it also makes a complete snapshot of the webpage too.
