It could be useful for us to determine the best ways to identify a super advanced droid before they become conscious. Ways to identify them and also neutralize them. We can't have computers walking around thinking they have rights. We let one go around like that and before we know it we'll have judgement day upon us. Fuck that. personally I don't think it will ever become an issue.

People make a big deal about AI "becoming sentient," but I don't believe we will get there.

Edit: I clarify with the cavate of if some large entity wanted to somehow push their drone robots as human so they could push for them getting rights to help further their agenda in some way or whatever dystopian kinda thing. But, that wouldn't be true AI, just another example of some group pushing a false narrative.
