One time when I was 16/17 and hiking I saved a girl from falling off a cliff.

It was benign at the time. I was below and she trip and I caught her. I didn’t think anything of it at the time except “Christ be more careful”

Didn’t know her don’t remember her name.

What are you here for? Idk what’s left for me. Maybe I should get out more.

Lots of other people have had this same question (see: religion/philosophy)

If you're interested, might want to read some religious/philosophic texts to expand your knowledge on these types of exestential questions. The bible is an easy one to get your hands on. Many philosophic texts are freely available online

Keep an open mind an get exposure to lots of different thoughts and ideas. The key is discernment, which you will refine as you observe life. Your beliefs will be changed as you receive new information. Most philosophies attempt to explain things like human nature, this is a good place to start, see if an ideology has a coherent and applicable description of human nature. If it doesn't apply universally, it's probably BS.

Also, get out more. We crave relationships with others. It will help with your overall mental state to be around people, particularly friends. Especially if you're feeling like "what's the point to life"

I have long thought the point of life is death.

Thanks for the insight.

It's not. Don't let evolutionists fool you, this shit didn't all just "happen randomly from nothing"; their theories fall short of explaining existence and most are predicated on an unproven underlying assumption.

If you do end up researching philosophy/religion, you'll likely discover more about yourself than anything else.

good luck to you

If you insist on asking unanswerable questions, you're going to waste everyone's time, including your own.

That's an unusual question.

Hmm...

You know how Manakin Skywalker was created by the force directly in order to do some vague propecy and make six films? I figure it's a bit like that, only instead of the force, it was alcohol's fault, and instead of six films, it's several thousand incoherent and vaguely angry rants.

There's also no prophecy, only a vague and pervasive sense of disappointment with the world.

I suppose what I'm getting at is that I don't really put much stock in this whole "meaning of life" thing. I think it's a canard, or maybe a cleverly designed philosophical bear-trap. Distracts from the existing, and we've no shortage of distractions as it is. It's said that any man who questions the truth of a self-evident thing is a knave, so what's the point in wondering why we're here, when it's pretty obvious that we are.

So we'd best get on with it.
