Depends on who it is. For family or certain friends who are basically family I would be willing to help them out with a car battery if they really needed it.

Friends can have a 9v or AAs

Anyone else can go busk it for batteries

I got a full since F for you, baby!

People still use AA batteries?

AntiAircraft batteries are awesome. But most people use surface to air missiles instead these days, it is true.

Depends on what it is and who it's for.

It depends on who I'm giving it to. If it's someone I don't know at all, the tiniest coin cell. Walmart doesn't give them for free. Why should I, just because I'm a person and not a corporation, feel obligated to give things below a certain amount for free.

If it is someone I know then there is really no upper limit depending on what they need it for and our relationship.
