Do you mean something like believing in objective evil, while rejecting dualistic cosmology? By dualistic cosmology I mean good and evil are complementary. I'm terribly knowlegeable in this area (or many others) so you'll have to hold my hand a bit.

That was exactly what i meant. Perhaps we are just ill equipped to properly understand evil in the many forms it takes?

I never really felt good and evil were both necessary complements. I think the love of my family would mean the same in a world without rape and murder.
