Well that sucks, even more so after just moving into a new house.
Good luck on the job hunt.
I've been laid off once before.
It was during the 2008 crash.
I worked for a small health food store in San Diego, CA called Sunfood Nutrition. CEO laid off everyone in the warehouse that wasn't Mexican. Real shady business practice because I found out a few weeks later they hired all new staff... Mexicans. I'm sure they did it because the beaners were willing to work for minimum wage instead of the higher wages we were getting.
I was bitter about it for a little while and fell into a bit of a depression, and resorted to drowning my sorrows with booze.
On the plus side, I moved out of CA. Met my current wife, and we're living happily ever after.
Glad to hear it worked out in the end. It’s a sad situation but I’ve got my family, my house, and poal. What more could a guy ask for? Jobs come and go all the rest of it lasts a lifetime.
