it blows... hell, ive been fired when i was younger for dumb decisions.. but you know what? i always ended up better off after shitty things happened in regards to work. if you are a hard worker and not as dumb as a brick it WILL work out.
I'll be fine, it just sucks. Honestly there are way higher paying jobs i can get around here but none that will offer as much meaning or putting good into the world
in todays day and age planning on retiring from a specific job/place is a rarity. think of em as stepping stones. my last job i worked at i was there for 16 years (!). i walked away from it at 40 and took a 24k pay cut for a job (rarity) with a future and a pension and kickass health benefits. within 5 years ill be making more than when i left the job of 16 years... it will get better.
oh I'm sure it will, I'm not worried this is just the first time I have ever been let go so to speak. It weighs on me. Could I have done something more. you know.
