If I show only my own words in a private conversation, is that a breech of privacy?

Edit: The person I showed my words to was going to ask the person I was PMing what I said anyway.

If you live in Canada, no worries, publish away. Canada is what you call a "single party consent" State. As long as one party to the conversation consents, the conversation can be recorded, and entered into record of any kind. It is not libel or slander if it's true.

Some States in the USA are "two party consent" States. This means both, or all, parties must consent to the recording or verbatim divulging of the contents of the conversation.

It's not quite a situation like that. Nothing to sue over, but I was still careless.
