There is no such thing as Windows 97. Do you mean 98 or the Windows 95 second release perhaps? MS Office 97 was a thing though.

Thanks for all the comments guys, But its not about doom its about doom on a really old laptop. This friend of mine loves old stuff.

First, you need to shoot this laptop with a rifle, in order to enable new windows 97 compatibility mode, then insert your penis in the hole created by rifle round[s]. The rest of the procedure should be relatively obvious and straightforward.

You'd be better off installing Windows 2000. It's more stable. You will probably need some drivers. FWIT, Doom installs and plays fine on Windows 10. Just right click on the setup file, and in the Compatability tab choose Windows 95 or 98/me and Run as administrator, and then install it.

you should be able to run it still ... there is compatibility mode etc, or do a search on running on a modern OS... someone probably already made it to work so far
