I'm looking for a method similar to voxelizing that can be applied to a single surface or face while maintaining the internal geometry of an object. Essentially I have a polymer box with internal bosses and ribs that must be preserved, but would like to change the external curves and faces into something out of

What I'm looking to do is make a rough tessellated triangular surface out of curves and flat faces. I'm mostly on the technical side of things with Autodesk engineering software, but would be willing to learn new software if it helped me achieve this goal.

Does anyone know what program I could use to make this happen? Any leads at all would be appreciated as I'm at a loss.

Edit: I'd be willing to pay a commission if anyone can make this happen for me.

Man I used to know of a opensource program that would do this but I can’t think of it off the top of my head I’ll try to remember to post it when I get home.

Blender and Processing (P5) can do that.

I was actually tooling around with Blender to try to find a way to do this. Any specific commands or techniques, maybe youtube examples to point me towards? Thanks.

I would manually do it with AI and then export the path to Cinema4D (that's what I use for work).
