I keep seeing the same links day after day because they have high votes. I think that making it so that if something doesn't get like 5 votes a day gets knocked down and off the front page. It's better to have some variety on the page you start on and I have to go on new since it changes so little. Or have it so posts you've voted on are not seen anymore so you always have new content since I vote on most stuff but having the page with all posts I've voted on is ridiculous and irritating.

Maybe not a bad idea, but a moot point for me ... I always view in s/all/new. I personally don't care what's highest up voted or whatever, viewing via all/new I see everything that comes in and I choose what I want to read. It's a small site, so this isn't all that overpowering.

On that note, my suggestion is that there be a 'Default View' option so that we can set /all/new to load when we first visit. I know... I'm fucking lazy, but I've resorted to saving bookmarks directly to /all/new to work around this. I almost never view /all/hot because of the issue OP describes.

Check out new.. all media aggregators work the same. Trending.. most relevant etc.
