I stopped drinking around 5 day ago. The thought of it makes me feel sick so I am not going to drink again. Maybe a glass of wine at Thanksgiving, if that. I think I may have done some damage though, so if you could find it in your heart I will be forever grateful.

You can do it. I believe in you. Build some healthy habits to replace it.

Lord, thank you for every day you give us. Keep us all in your favor especially our friend here that is trying to break the addiction and walk your path. Lord we all falter, catch us when we fall, carry us when we can’t go onward, only by your grace do we have what you provide.

No weapon formed against us shall prosper, and as for this House, we shall Honor the Lord.

In Christ name we pray, Amen.

I recently gave up beer, and all carbs. Not sure what is your drink of choice, but also haven't had wine in quite some time. It's been 3 months. I will tell you, after about two weeks, it got A LOT easier. Again, depends on how much you were drinking, but it DOES get easier!!!!! Stay strong!! Do it first for the people in your life, and second for you. A lot of people will tell you the other way around, but that is what worked for me. Five days is an excellent start. Pray. We will all pray for you, too. God be with you.

Stay strong brother/sister. You're stronger than I am right now. God will guide you, just stay in touch with Him.
