As a kid and even just a few years ago I remember lightening bugs being yellow, almost orange, for sure 2700k or less maybe even 2000k.

I remember this from just last year.

This year they are back. But they are fucking White. Like 5000k to 6000k White, like new headlights.

Anyone else notice this?

In Texas we have tons of lightning bugs and they glow a kind of a warm yellow color. In Washington state we have the same exact lighting bugs flying around, I have caught a couple to check them out. They do not glow at all, ever.
