As a kid and even just a few years ago I remember lightening bugs being yellow, almost orange, for sure 2700k or less maybe even 2000k.

I remember this from just last year.

This year they are back. But they are fucking White. Like 5000k to 6000k White, like new headlights.

Anyone else notice this?

Fireflies produce bioluminescent light, or "cold light," that typically flashes in shades of yellow, green, and orange, with some species producing red, white, or pale blue hues.

No Mandela Effect here.

Ok. Thanks! That likely answered it. We need shotguns for this. I don’t trust pale blue lighting bugs. Or lightening bugs.
