The woodchipper is an amazing tool, and big ones can easily chew up as much wood as you can toss into them. I've often wondered, however, would I actually be able to toss as much cordwood into one of these as possible? The flesh is weak even if the mind is strong...how long would it take to become hardened to such an activity, or would there always be that gurgle in the pit of your stomach? I understand the brush needs clearing, but am I a strong enough person to do it?

Sometimes I sit and meditate on problems like this. It's good to have other experiences with large-scale chipping operations related to you...it helps clarify the mind.

Always pick a tool that will do what you want without jamming is my philosophy. There are some machines out there that will chew through a tree without a second thought, probably overkill but if you've a lot of cleanup to do - it's probably worth it.

Make sure these trees don't wear gold chains before you slide them in.

Absolutely, always remove any exterior metal before use. While gold is pretty soft, chances are it's not real gold and may be plated stainless or other materials that will damage blades.
