I hate sports. I always have. I just find it incredibly boring. For a brief time in my late twenties I pretended to enjoy it because I had work outings and dates to a few games. Now that I'm married and not having to play office politics I can openly revert back to my true disdain. Also I don't believe municipalities should be funding the building of these stadiums. It pisses me off. Team owners do a song and dance about how this billion dollar investment will pay for itself and last for 50 years. Less than 20 years later they come crawling back bitching they want upgrades or a new one on my damn dime. Fuck that. If we are going to drop billions in taxpayer money on a project let's pick something we know has a true economic stimulus. I'm not sold that sporting events are it.
Has gotten decidedly worse as I became more racist. I long had a strong interest in boxing though so I can still discuss the sport historically in a dispassionate way.
I'm not interested in sports. I don't begrudge people who are, i just can't be bothered.
I enjoy watching physical competitions among top atheletes. Baseball used to be my favorite but I more appreciate physicality like summer olympic events. I love the brutality and art of boxing.
As evolved as we are, we're not that far removed from the days of the gladiator so we kind of need sports in our lives. It's natural. But for the most part mainstream sports barely 'do it' for me.
They are over paid and I dont care to watch much sport and never have.
I'm thrilled to support sport, competition and honor. I'm not pleased to parade niggers around and idolizing them while we pay money for them to not go to jail.
