Me: divorced forty something practicing Orthofox earning good money in a bullshit field

Her: divorced late thirties practicing catholic but okay with Orthodoxy. Earning good money in legit field.

Together for four years. We have talked marriage but both "slow movers" cause of poor marriage choices in our youths.

All good until recently. She has never been very political and of the view of "is all bs." Recently she has become very anti ICE.

Her: "These are people just trying to make better lives."

Me: "I don't give a fuck. I have to pay for private school for my son because public sucks thanks to watering down for immigrants, look at the DHS 'worst of worst list..." (etc and so forth and obbious reasons)

We argue over that a lot. I'm tired of the argument.

We are great other than that.

She recognizes other races and "cultures" are less than whites, but seems to be bleeding heart on this hill that we need to be kind to "immigrsnts looking for better" and accommodate.

She's missing the fucking point.

She's great other than that... but am I beating my head against a wall?

Jesus submits to the Father, even when it's hard and confusing. I submit to Jesus, even when it's hard and confusing. A wife is to submit to her husband, even when it's hard and confusing, and so on.

I've seen recently, a study done on the neurological responses to people being administered electrical shocks for either playing a game fairly, or for cheating. Both women and men's brains' empathy centers light up when the fair player gets shocked, but when the cheater gets shocked, the woman's empathy centers light up and the men's do not. In fact, the men's pleasure centers that light up when this perceived "justice" is done.

Women are the helper, and so they don't like "Bad thing" happening to anyone, even if it's justified. This is one of the reasons why I believe Men are to be the head of the household. It's in her nature to feel bad for them, but she's gotta trust you on the justice of the matter or she's not submitting in a biblical context. If she can't/won't, then she's not really fit to be a wife.

Take with a grain of salt - I'm perpetually single.

Edit: Technically I think I committed a heresy there - Jesus wasn't ever "confused."
