Currently with my folks in a decent suburb, mostly White. It took until 1 for neighbors to stop shooting off fireworks. My wife has been trying to keep our toddler from complete hysterics, as he was woken out of deep sleep by an hour and a half of this garbage. I think he's finally asleep now. What am I missing here?

They do not think about others around them.

And when they do think of others they think everyone else is just like them. They may even believe they are providing entertainment.
