I already have the ram and the GPU. I was hoping negro Friday would bring deals, but I've actually watched the price get ticked up $10, $20 and then the item brought to "DEALS!" and had the price "lowered" $20.

I have a few various ITX boards picked out for LGA 1851 or AM5, but I'm curious about which CPU choice.

I'm wary of intel due to it's microcode bricking it's CPUs for the last 2-3 generations (unsure). And the last AMD processor I had was dual AMD athlon MPs. My current PC is a i7 6700k.

Stick with AMD.

That's what I'm learning toward. I'm more interested in Homelabbing and local AI. I have incredible parts, for the ones I have, and I don't know if Ryzen 9 9950x3d is worth the $150-$250 additional over the Ryzen 7 9800x3d.

Go AMD

Using a dedicated add-on board (companion/accelerator) for a raspberry Pi is also a good alternative (for small projects) as it doesn't monopolize your main computer and consumes way less energy (saving you money on your electric bill).

I have a miniPC I bought that I'll use for those things. I got it before the manufactured RAM outage and it has more than enough for me - 32gb.

The 9800x3D is an amazing processor, especially for gaming if that's your cup of tea. I'm not sure if the 9950x3D would be worth the increase in price UNLESS you need the higher clock speeds for productivity work.

Intel is garbage unless you get one of their low power chips. And that's only because AMD just doesn't make enough of their APUs to bring the prices down.

It depends on your motherboard. That's like asking what antivenom you should take without mentioning what type of snake bit you.

You truly are a stupid kike. I listed the items I already had: "I already have the ram and the GPU.", the first line. Yet here you are, trying to "GOTTEM", when you're so ridiculously stupid.

Then I write very specifically: "I have a few various ITX boards picked out for LGA 1851 or AM5..." which makes it even more clear that socket (CPU brand) still isn't decided.

THEN THERE'S THE TITLE

Just fuck off, block me already. You're a useless, annoying kike and unwanted.

I shit bigger than you, boy.

AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D paired with MSI MAG B850 Tomahawk is a good combo. Stay away from that LGA 1851 Intel bullshit.
