And half the time, political discussions aren't about the merit of the ideas being discussed, they always end up being about how much one party or another is too disdainful to even listen to.

And to be clear, I do occasionally find myself guilty of this.

I use pretty much this exact method when talking to my fiancé (feel) and every one else gets think, thought, or believe. It makes things complicated at times for me but without that turn of phrase in use, I am sometimes considered cold, emotionless, and heartless.
