Got some weeds which grow between the large-ish pebbles/rocks strewn around the house foundation. Glyphosate is out of the question.

The good, minimally toxic weed killer that used to be sold here (Unkraut-Ex, sodium chlorate) was outlawed because naughty people were using it for things that go boom.

My wife said she heard one can use soda and I have lots of blasting soda. Anyone ever tried that?

As I'm writing this, just remebered I still have these butane weed torches, maybe I'll give that a try if the chemical route doesn't pan out.

30% strength vinegar, salt and dish soap seems to work. There are recipies for exact ingredient ratios online.

I'd bet glacial acetic acid straight up would do the job too...

Would you want salt in your ground?

Its only about a cup per gallon of liquid, but optional if you want.

Vinegar. Post10 on YouTube has a video where he compared 2 vinegar solutions vs Roundup.

Found and watched the video. Thank you.

Well there is always the old Roman way, salt. After razing a city it was said no crops would grow there for years. Not sure on the amounts, and when it rains I might worry about run off.

I have heard that Coke can strip paint. It might be the acidity.

The ants will enjoy the sugar. Perhaps they will nibble the weeds to death.
