This is pretty much on the nose. Look at the recent American election. People that don't usually vote or never would vote republican voted trump.

They did that because they see the things going on in the country impacting their personal daily life finally. They will put up with damn near anything as long as their "day to day" does not change or only barely changes. But once they can't buy food, gas, etc when a couple of years earlier it was never a problem they start to "change".

"Those that ignore history are destined to repeat it". We already had one civil war and that shit sucked big time. The American population is so much more well armed now than back then. If and when the next civil war starts, it will be a hundred times worse. There are millions of us that are military trained and we are armed with weapons very similar to the ones we trained with. It would be much more prudent for us to work out our differences and get along. One problem though, is the millions of illegal aliens that have been allowed to invade our country and don't give a shit about America other than how it can benefit them, for now...
