Wondering if any of you have a mouse you use that you think is great. It should also be larger than average and have extra buttons that can be programmed.

I have been very faithful to the X-31 (pic8.co) mouse. It’s large, but I wish it was just a tad bigger. It’s accurate and has been surprisingly durable for an inexpensive Chinese no-namer.

My only complaints about the X-31 are that I wish it was a bit bigger, and I REALLY wish there was an on/off switch. It has an automatic shut down that gets turned back on with a click, but it’s very sensitive and easy to accidentally turn it back on. This sometimes leads to me unknowingly starting screen recordings that can eat my entire hard drive (extra buttons are mapped to take screenshots, screen recordings, etc). I also wish this mouse had more buttons.

So, do any of you have use a mouse that fits the bill? I’d appreciate a price point under $50 unless it comes with a rock solid warranty that covers drops.

I did a quick search on amazon out of curiosity. They have a lot of mice with 8 programmable buttons and up, 4.3 stars and up, $50ish. Logitech has one with 9 buttons, 4.4 stars, $49.95.

I have a logitech two button plus thumbwheel and thought that was about as good as it gets for programming. I'm not a gamer, at least not in the last 30 years, was unaware there were multibutton programmable mice available.

Thanks for looking. Size is important even 700 series Logitech are uncomfortable in my hand. A lot of that has to do with cramping in my hands. A big one lets me open my hand more which gives relief and stamina.

I like the Logitech 500 series (502x specifically) but they're probably too small for your giant mitts.

Not even giant mitts. It’s just a lifetime of both sitting at a computer AND lifting weights has left my joints and ligaments all a mess.

Still gaming, eh? All that adrenaline and stress goes into that hand. Ever try a stress ball (squeezable dense foam ball) break every once in a while? No idea if it will help you but I had one back in the day and it seemed to help me during days of my hand cramping up.

I don’t play any keyboard n mouse games but I do have a mouse in my hand a lot and it’s been like that for over 20 years for work.

That therapy ball sounds good. They gave my father one after his shoulder replacement. Maybe PT or his doctor can hook him up with another and I can have it.
