I just realized squeeze balls could further aggravate the nerves in your carpal tunnel if they are the actual issue. If the tunnel or nerves are inflamed, they can make your hand feel cramped, hard to relax too. Forgive me if you knew all this, they drilled ergonomics into our heads at work years ago. Carpal tunnel was pretty common before the big corporate training push to avoid it in the late '80s.

I’ll say, the worst of this is holding triggers of lawn tools. I’ll get a break because of winter coming on, but after a day of trimming, edging, and using the blower leads to a weeks of uncontrollable hand cramps.

Yeah, that's not right. Sounds to me (not a doctor) a lot like potential carpal tunnel issues. Usually it can be healed, but requires resting the arm and hand for weeks or months. Severe cases can require surgery.
You got to take care of yourself, you'll be thankful later in life.
