I've been watching videos of places I used to visit for more than 8 years get wiped off the face of the earth. I've been motivated to bring some supplies up to some friends of mine in Western North Carolina. My wife has some family near Asheville and Unicoi. I have some friends in Burnsville that I want to run supplies to.

Does anyone know if I should try driving past Asheville or go all the way around from the east?

Yeah it's been incredibly sad to watch. I want to get up there from Monday to Wednesday to drop off two pickup trucks worth of supplies to my long time friends and extended family up there. I'm hoping by the time we go, most of the roads to get there will at least have a bypass or alt route set up.

My friends in Burnsville have received zero help yet. Videos I've watched say the area has more than enough supplies but they haven't received any of it yet. I've known the people for 20 years and they need some help.

The hurricane just narrowly skipped by me. I got a lot of rain but zero damage in the area.

I wish you safety and luck. Be armed, there are reports of fuck heads looting and stealing. Good on you for taking care of your own, Bless you.

I appreciate that man. My buddy and I are going up with a rifle and a sidearm each. I'm just hoping we can get up there.
