Do they make a set that doesn't have bluetooth, but can hold a micro sd card? So basically a set with an mp3 player built in.

Update: Found a pair of Aftershokz - as700

Little high on the price tag for how old, should work for the job though.

Something like this? https://a.aliexpress.com/_mL1rXrI

Nevermind just noticed they still have Bluetooth, but Ali is likely your best bet.

I searched 'headphones sdcard'. Ali is where I go for oddball stuff that might be considered older tech. I much prefer MP3 players to using my phone and have picked up a few over the years when my Sansa Clips started having more issues than just needing a new battery soldered in.

I recently inherited a first generation ipod touch. Works perfectly. I installed itunes 11 (last version before all the junk).

Trying to find something that you can use to listen to something as you sleep? If you find an answer, please share it.

One possible answer would be to get a set that does have Bluetooth (and a micro SD slot) and then open it up and disable the Bluetooth hardware (assuming they didn't build it in such a way that it disables the headset in doing so).

I'm looking to drown out annoying coworkers when ear plugs aren't enough. Think just found some sony walkman headphones NW-WS413... Gonna research more options though

They make things that look like sweatbands with speakers built in specifically for sleep. Look up sleep headphones.

I use a gutted mobile device and a pair of $20 earbuds. FOSS "voice" (fdroid) audiobook player.

How gutted is it? I'd imagine running a smartphone takes more energy than a basic mp3 player.

I think energy use is about the same, I could be wrong though. I use ADB and remove any and all unwanted unnecessary apps and services. I use it for video and games as well. No sim card, wireless only.

I remember my friend had the same one's as you described few years back, got them for about 50 from website like AliExpress or similar. I tried them on and it was amazing sound, way better than Bluetooth.

I’ve seen some that has an internal SD card; load the content directly from a computer.

Have you seen vids of people putting an EMF reader next to those things? They are frying your brain close up style. They admit they have the capability (but they don't use it) to read your body temp, brain waves and some other stuff.
