Voat was going to shit and putt was AFK for weeks. There was once a time where the site wouldn't load for over a week because the server ran out of space.
PMMYB said fuck it, and created poal. He spent six days to create the site, the subs, the discussion sections etc... and the seventh day he rested and said, "I did a good job; what I have made is good".

It was the AFK crap that was the final straw for me at Voat. I had already been questioning the direction of Voat as sub transfer requests in the queue for something like 6 months were not being approved. To me that was basic site management and if that wasn't being done, not a good outlook.
*Now with Poal and Phuks I hardly ever check Voat.

I've never had a mod or management position on a forum, so I wasn't aware. Six months? That's outrageous. Even if you really didn't have the time, you should at the least find someone to do it for you.

While I still visit; I am not as active after left. I don't recall all the drama, something with someone being banned for BS... But I trusted his judgement that this was a better site to spend time on, and I haven't been disappointed.
smallpond is great, even though I think he's an environmentalist wackjob, sometimes he makes a good point and he's always willing to argue.
