My relationship to any law is based on a risk/reward calculation. There is no question as to whether laws come from a sovereign authority. They don’t. So to keep track of the law writers as if some of them might be legitimate is a useless exercise.
The more relevant question anyway is who is enforcing the laws. Because without moral authority, the law’s only source of legitimacy is the enforcement of it.
I’ll tell you one thing: the laws that women primarily enforce are probably worse than the laws that women primarily write.
