I used to frequently hit the "related" (not actually "related" posts, just older duplicate posts) button on an interesting post to see what had been said on previous postings of the item.
However, the previous posting(s) almost always had either no comments on it, or only had a couple that were not worth reading at all due to being half-sentence, low-effort, why-bother-taking-the-time-to-write-it, shitpost comments.
I have long since stopped wasting time checking previous postings as almost nobody has anything of value to say beyond stupid one-liner shit-post comments that has made the feature fairly useless to me. I still do use it in extremely rare instances on certain jewflu-related topics to find related materials on the topic, but I almost always find the comment with actual info in it on the previous posting...was mine.
Regardless, I would like your idea of adding a "comments from previous posts" tab to a newer posting of something.
That’s the reason for this post.
Is it worth the time to implement this to comments or just leave it that way.
