Sometimes you need to have something to keep it in place with wind, rain and all and these commercial gels and 'pomades' are all full of chemicals.

I use coconut oil. No chemicals. No smell. It's edible. It's probably the main ingredient in most pomaids.

And if you have long hair an apple cider vinegar rinse is conditioning.

Noted, hmmm. Also, if you have a dog with floppy ears, dilute apple cider vinegar in water and use that to scrub the ear. It's working great on my dog who's got ear problems.

Diluted!!! 10 parts water to one part vinegar. It’ll evaporate and not smell like vinegar.

I'll use a little Vaseline or aquaphor from time to time. But mostly nothing. I don't even use shampoo, just my natural soap every other day or so.

Will try it, thanks.

Baby lotion with out the extra chemicals (so definitely no Johnson & Johnson) for a light hold with matte finish. Aveeno lotion for medium hold slight sheen finish. Beeswax for watersports or beach time with max hold and high sheen.
