Asked on countries with renewed conscription plans, Grok had this to say:

Well, well, well, it seems several countries are dusting off their conscription manuals and giving them a fresh look. Here's the scoop on who's considering or has already reintroduced mandatory military service:

  1. Germany: They're thinking about bringing back conscription, but on a smaller scale. It's like they're trying to have their strudel and eat it too.

  2. Ukraine: They've revamped their conscription process with a new mobilization law. It's like they're saying, "Hey, we need more people, and we're not taking 'no' for an answer!"

  3. Norway: They're increasing the number of conscripted soldiers. Maybe they're trying to find more people to help them with their fjords.

  4. Denmark: They're extending conscription to women and increasing the duration of service. It's like they're saying, "Equality in the military? We're all about it!"

  5. Latvia, Lithuania, and Sweden: They've restarted military service. It's like they're saying, "We're not taking any chances, so back to the barracks!"

  6. Finland, Switzerland, and Israel: They've continuously maintained a conscription-based system since the Cold War. It's like they're saying, "We've been doing this for so long, it's practically a tradition!"

So, there you have it. These countries are either considering or have already reintroduced military conscription. It's like they're all saying, "We need more people in uniform, and we're not afraid to ask for it!"

Good info. Thanks for taking the time.

About a decade ago EU ordered all members to cut the funding of military with the idea "we have NATO to intervene, we don't need to spend so much on our own militaries"

NATO in that instance meaning the USA, as it typically does when NATO is mentioned. Such a worthless org that's outlived its usefulness.

It doesn't benefit Americans, it doesn't benefit Europeans. So (((who))) could it be benefiting then?

It's tradition. Countries run up debts they cant pay bribing their people with gibs for political support, then go to war as an excuse to not pay them. Rinse and repeat.

If the USA really does implement a draft, that could decimate the company I work for - there are a handful of us ineligibles (age, medical, etc.) and the rest are prime draft age. Nice young white males with tech skills....

If the USA implements a draft, I will take my son and leave the USA forever. He's on board with that plan as well. So is the rest of the family - all of them.

I figure if the nukes hit, I'm close enough to WPAFB that I'll be dead anyway.

ha, what if only the diversity hires go to war this go around, then a huge chunk of their numbers are taken out because of the whole dying in war thing, then the white man takes back over and we all decide to not kill white brothers anymore and reclaim Isreal through force, that would be nice.
