Title says it all.

Even living out in the middle of nowhere there were regular sonic booms over the city and the outlying area due to a few military bases in the general area.

Do you remember hearing those growing up? Do you remember when they "stopped"? I feel like it was sometime in the mid to late 2000's that the "booms" stopped.

Nothing else about this really. Just wondering if some people are still hearing these or if its basically not a thing anymore in the more populated areas.

I guess a lot of people hated it but I always thought it was interesting and amusing.. As long as it was during the day an not late at night. Those were annoying as hell.

I've only ever heard a sonic boom a few times my entire life. I've always understood it to be irregular due to the fact that super sonic travel is prohibited over populated areas. I remember when O'bummer was potus and there was a small plane wandering too close to his AO in Seattle one day. They scrambled a couple fighter jets out of Commiefornia to intercept and those boys were cookin, two double sonic booms about a second apart. I didn't even realize what it was at first.
