When I came of age I struck out into the world and left my family behind. I was a painfully shy and weak boy in a man's body. A few weeks after I used my one-way ticket to a new place, I found myself in a seaside town in a part of the world I had never been. The waves were gently lapping at the red brick road that ended in a pier. Leaves danced on the brick as the smell of cool brine air permeated everything. I had the most uncanny feeling that I had been there before or saw it in a dream; and yet the feeling was also one of needing to be there. Nothing of importance happened after that. The girl I was with eventually left my life and I never went back to that town. However, I knew that God was speaking to me in some way. I was on the right path.
