I was given an old XBox and about 30 games. They're all old as shit and titles I never got into, or if I did, it was on the PC or even Nintendo Switch (yes, I love the old Nintendo games).

I got it all cleaned up and replaced cooler paste, all that, so the console runs great - I am just not interested in any of the games nor the XBox itself, especially since it is apparently the first generation and not very robust.

Is there anything I can do with it? Repurpose to a decent media server or something? Know of any White forward donation places for it? Somewhere I can sell decently? I don't know, but I do know I'd hate to just put it out on the curb.

Hold onto it another 30 years and just like the typewriter it'll come back in fashion again with a certain group of people.

Offer up isn't a bad place to sell stuff like that.

Ask yourself if you have time and if it's worth the effort to sell it. If not, dumpster.

When I bought that Xbox 20 something years ago, I took it directly from the store to a friend who modded it for me right out of the box. Not only could it play the Xbox games (and store them directly on the hard drive for fast loading) but there were emulators installed which ran, and had all of the roms for NES, SNES, Genesis, GB, GBA and some others consoles which I never played. The DVD player was quite good for movies.

I don't know if there were any improvements to the mods that were available since then, but you can get it to do at least what I wrote above.

Keep it well-maintained. Isolate it in boxes. Open it every 2 or 3 years for basic maintenance. Your kids are retarded until they have kids of their own

Craigslist it or something like that. You can ebay it for a weeks worth of bidding and might garner a tidy sum. Games and systems are a hot collectible currently.
