This is a good one.

It was the last time people could pretend that watching the news and being well-informed were at synonymous.

Watching CNN or Fox News 24 hours a day, waiting to hear an update on what the fatality rate might be. Pretending that might make you smarter than everyone else, like listening to the anchors might make you a better citizen

Although, I must be thankful. Poal informed me pretty well, back then. I was informed of the lab leak theory sometime in February.

I told a young server where I worked at the time, right before lockdown. I never really talked to her again. But I always wondered what she thought about that.

I cited my sources, and told her of Daszak, the EcoHealth alliance, and other such things. This was before speaking of such things was declared misinformation.

This was back when only conspiracy theorists wore masks. I don't know if you remember that, but there was a very brief time, during the initial outbreak, when only conspiracy theorists wore masks. Fauci had said they didn't work, and I assumed this was a government employee attempting to stop a run on masks.

Weird times.

But I always wondered what happened to her. She was ultra-liberal. But I told her what I knew, before it was even branded as a conspiracy theory by the mainstream media.

Interesting times.
