My internet is fuckin sketchy for some reason today. My biggest one is probably dying alone, and leaving Dog behind. Or maybe he will go first, its not for lack of relationships just keeping them longer than 7 years.

You should regret decisions that you reasonably should have made differently with the information you had at the time. Pound a fifth of vodka and run grandma over with your car? You should regret something like that because it's immediately obvious it's stupid.

If you're regretting decisions which are exclusively unwise with the benefit of perfect hindsight, you're commiting the sin of pride. Pride that you believe you could possibly be all-knowing, which you are not. Such as "Why didnt I buy BTC at $5" when you had never heard of it and didnt live in the cryptographic niche culture to have done so so early.

I have precious few regrets because my errors in judgement were rarely foreseeable, and the probability of much worse outcomes if I chose differently very high.

Everyone lives with regrets. If you find someone that says they have no regrets run far and fast from them, they are fucking psycho.

But, what if I have regrets. But no ragrets? Still a psycho?

I think Theo started an interesting sub about such things /

I did have a similar confo with him but this isnt resentment.

I think you can make an inventory of regrets too

What are you feeding your dogs that you don't expect them to last longer than 7 years?

Ha fuckin Ha

I'm not joking, I'm being quite serious. I expect at least 14 years from a dog. So, what are you feeding them?

If it matters he gets 2 lbs of hamburger and 6 eggs a week along with diamond naturals dogfood.

Yeah and I was talking about human relationships, I have had three serious ones and for some reason ( me presumably ) they all lasted 7 years.

I'm basically one big regret but I'm making life changes that should fix that feeling

I did for a short stretch about 8 years ago and lasting several years and today I regret most of the 'life with no regrets' philosophy years and have recalibrated to being more cautious, and more closed off to letting other people in my life.

Regrets are for pussies!

I have met a few people who have no regrets about the past. They are, ironically, the people with the darkest, most fucked up pasts you could imagine.

But they did their best to thoroughly examine their wrongdoings, made amends where they could, and used their past to try help others.

They are the only people I have ever met who seem to live without regret.

I used to, but I lived to regret it...
