pong sounds right, like the first game.
Pong was fun, there were different levels with 2 modes. You could have a wide paddle or a skinny paddle, and the ball speed had at least 2 settings. I don't remember much more than that.
I've got an old home made non electric pinball machine my dad made when he was a teenager circa late 1940s (I'm sure he had help from my grandfather). Picture a wooden rectangular frame with a piece of plywood mounted inside of it at a slight angle so a ball would roll from the back to the front due to gravity. U shaped pockets were formed with finish nails to capture the balls (marbles). It has a plunger and starting gate to launch the balls. I had a lot of fun with that when I was a kid.
I remember pinball very well, a very fine line between shaken it.
