Passover as a remembrance of God's death angel "passing over" the slaves and killing the firstborn of the globohomo Egyptians is a very old school reminder that God is about opportunities AND consequences. A far cry from modern cafeteria "christianity" that's all feels and forgiveness for fooling around and never any finding out.

Do you think the God, Yajweh, or Elohim of the old testament is the same God as the one in the New Testament?

Yes. He made a new covenant with His followers (you know, the Gospel spread by Jesus et al), but He's the same God.

I disagree and can cite biblical scripture to back it up.

Passover

The jews weren't slaves in Egypt and Moses didn't say "Let my people go." Think about it. Jews have always been slave-traders, slave-owners and human traffickers. The wealth they accumulated over millennia from it still shapes our financial world to this day. Uncountable trillions of shekles. Enough to buy kings and congress.

If you believe an 'Angel of Death' sent from 'God' needed blood-painted doors to tell jew from Egyptian, then you probably believe the 'Angel of Death' is killing all those Palestinian children in Gaza today.

Egypt was the first country to throw those blood-thirsty bastards out over 3k years ago. If you were the jew author of Exodus, you'd claim it was an 'Angel of Death' that slaughtered all those Egyptian babies too.
