I used to live in Dehli
Now it makes sense. I hope you got check out other parts because Delhi can be quite a shithole. There's very serene and sparsely populated areas that are almost on par with places like Switzerland in terms of interesting geographical features.
One day I was taking a long walk out of Manali.
And when I say long walk, I mean long. I would take a couple bottles of Kingfisher, and just walk for about six hours. It was vacation out of Delhi, after all.
So I was well away from the tourist trap of Manali, just walking along a beautiful road in the foothills of the Himalayas. And I was just being myself, large and white.
I came across a man, by the side of the road, who looked to be clearing some brush. He was with a cow, that I suppose he owned?
And he seemed quite suprised to see me. I clearly was not supposed to be there.
And his cow, with was munching some foliage, looked up, and also seemed surprised to see me.
His cow looked up at me. It locked eyes with me.
It said "Moo".
So I looked at the cow. The Indian man looked at me, and then looked at the cow. The Indian man then looked at me again, and almost had a confused expression on his face, as if unsure of what to do next.
He then picked up a stick and started beating the cow. It was probably the most bizarre thing I have ever seen in my life.
LOL. It was probably a muslim. Beating cows is a big no-no when it comes to Hindus, and they often lynch muslims for this kind of behaviour.
That is the weird part, I really do not think he was a Muslim. Not a lot of them in that area.
I honestly think the 'jeets ingrained caste system/skin-color worship over-rode his religiosity that day.
He didn't look like he wanted to beat the cow. He just looked like he thought he should.
