As a Truck driver it is imperative I have one, in fact I have two, one the company has installed and one I have set up just incase.
Absolutely. You don't need to spend a lot. Even a $30 Black Box G1W (thatsitguys.com) is fine (I have many of this model). There are two basic levels of video quality: just showing that someone swerved into you or backed into you goes a long way for insurance. Then there are the expensive 4K models that can capture license plates a distance away at night. Sometimes this matters a lot.
Yes. How could it not be worth it?
Daughter for brake checked, would have saved me some big money.
I just got one installed in our truck a month ago. Wife has been watching dashcam accident videos. Figured it was either get one now or face a lifetime of 'coulda shoulda's if a situation arises without one
Yes.
Until you need it, you ask. The first time it would have saved you thousands of dollars because of idiots. You no longer question the value of front facing cameras.
A dash cam would have saved me over 20k in legal fees. Yes get one.
Yes! A dash cam has been very helpful to me. 1)when I encountered a predator in the grocery parking lot. 2) an officer tried to write me a ticket for not wearing a seatbelt. 3) proved an accident was not my fault.
Get yourself a heavy duty extreme use sd card. Cheaper memory didn't survive very long in my vehicle.
Front/Back
This reminds me that I bought one for my truck but haven't installed it yet. Thanks.
