I’m pretty sure countries are not supposed to revoke a sole citizenship. That doesn’t mean an incompetent bureaucracy wouldn’t do it and leave you to sort out the mess, but they’ll run into a problem if they ever try to deport you to another country. If you have no passport or citizenship there are not many nations that would allow you entry.
On a side note, this is why a lot of the US’s invaders from the South enter the Americas via Peru. Peru requires no passport for entry.
