"I'm a man, this is the way men speak. Ummm, yeah, I guess my voice is pretty deep. I'm going to let a witch clean my car while maybe she falls in love with me, because of my deep, male voice"
To be honest, I've never listened to a lot of audiobooks with female narrators doing male voices. Is there someone who is good at it?
I don't listen to female narrated stuff, so no idea. I much prefer male voices when I do listen and them doing female crack me up. They usually just sound gay.
Actually faggot-narrated audiobooks just make the most sense. I feel like they could emulate both genders the best.
Likely. The one that cracked me up (don't know if it's been re done) was Altered Carbon. The narrator was a dude with a nice voice but the mp3 I had was such a low bit rate it gave his female voices a lisp. I could help but crack up during sex scenes. It's against the rules for Amazon to re do a book but I know a lot of publishers have so the really old stuff that I used to rent from the library on tape or cd have been modernized and I can't listen. There was a lot of stuff narrated by a serial killer for the library for the blind.
